Be careful while buying used printing equipment for bad traders!
Be careful
selling used printing equipment!
Many internet traders and printing shops are crooks. Although our joining
system has some protection over fake accounts, there will be always somebody
with different technique, so you must be careful. Here are some tips for
detecting fake traders on the internet market.
- Check Their Web Site: Usually they don't have
an official
website. For e-mail they use hotmail, yahoo or gmail addresses.
- Check Phone Numbers: Be careful
with the numbers starting with 0703, 809, 829,! These are premium rate numbers
in some countries, so when you call them you are charged with extreme amounts of
money. These numbers are just a few example, there are lots of premium numbers
in different countries.

Example of a Fake Dealer
Full Name: Anthony Adew
E-Mail: anthonyadew01@****.***
Phone: +447031906***
Country: United Kingdom

- Check Prices: Be carefull with very cheap
prices. If you may do a quick search on the machines with same model name on our
search page, you will have an idea of the price. Of course the price will change
from machine to machine but not in huge amounts.
|
|
For Example: Heidelberg CD 102-5+L 2003+ for 250.000€ is impossible.
|
- Inspection and Deposit: If you have
question mark in your mind inspect the machine before sending deposit. If
possible, request a working video of the machine or request the serial number of
the machine.
- References: Always ask for references
and call them for details. Most people ask for references and just look at them.
Be more suspicious and call the references.
- Payment terms: Be careful with the
offers that payment is
by cheque.
- Invitation letter: Although there are
many respectful companies in Africa, be careful with these
countries. Some of the bad traders get invitation letters to European countries
and sell them. If you believe that they may buy your machines, make a good
contract. Make sure that they are coming for your machine! Ask them details of
the machine they want, most of them don't have enough knowledge about the
printing machines.
